Benzodiazepine Addiction & Recovery Benzodiazepines (“benzos”) are psychoactive drugs that are widely prescribed for anxiety, insomnia, and seizures. Some of the most common benzodiazepines include Xanax (alprazolam), Klonopin (clonazepam), Valium (diazepam), Ativan (lorazepam), Rohypnol (flunitrazepam), Dalmane (flurazepam), and Librium (chlordiazepoxide).
